"Postmodernism is a change-or-be-changed world. The word is out: Reinvent yourself for the 21st century or die! Some would rather die than change." Leonard Sweet, cultural historian.

Is it just me…

…or is Monday Night Football actually much better on ESPN than it ever was on ABC?

And while I’m at it, is there a worse play-by-play guy in all of sports than Brent Musburger? And he’s ABC’s go-to guy for college football. Yeesh.

I agree Musburger is weak on play-by-play. That’s why CBS opted for Jim Nance over Musbuger. But I have to admit, Musbuger’s trademark opening to a big game is terrific: "You’re looking at a live picture from (stadium of your choice).

That opening line drew you right into telecast and the game. Of course, as you point out, with Musburger it was all down hill from there.

    Hello Mr. Heaton:

I’m taking the high road on this one.

I cannot give much thought to the point on issues that you bring up in the media world due to lack of knowledge, but the exception and opinion is the fact that most media are liberals and condone a one sided dimension.

However, sense you bring up the subject of sports, I’m putting in my time. Agreed, Brent Musberger may be overhyped, but he has been the voice of college football since the time Flutie flew Miami out of the orange bowl in 84′. That goes along with Ron Franklin of espn, Keith Jackson, and maybe Don Crique, whom is on Westwood One. There are probably more, including those personalities on radion, but I have drawn a brain fart.

In defense of that, These are my boys. Voices that I grew up with in watching and relating to the emotion that sports brings to television, and in some instances society is missing those people in todays world, and we sports junkies like me will never see it again for a lifetime to come.

    Man, I miss those days.

    Thought I would say Hi.

    Barry.
