Very good point Angela.

Our social networking site (slighly older demographic than mySpace) has focussed on news slanted towards entertainment, lifestyle, science and off-beat topics, as these are the main areas of interest for our users (politics, business etc haven’t found as much of an audience).

I can’t imagine myspace playing a serious role
in the social news with the current news platform
and without the predominance of the news within myspace navigation.

We will see how it unfolds in the future.

The addition of the news will hopefully make the place less a place for those who would prey on children. I think the addition of the news will continue the bias of the users older.
