"Postmodernism is a change-or-be-changed world. The word is out: Reinvent yourself for the 21st century or die! Some would rather die than change." Leonard Sweet, cultural historian.

Superbowl ad quote of the day

Mike Penner, Los Angeles Times:

“The best thing that could be said about the amateur ads was that you couldn’t tell them from the professional ones.”

Intended pejoratively, I’m sure, but think about it.

It was indeed a Black Monday on February 5th, when the producers of commercials costing hundred of thousands of dollars had to take the phone call from their client asking why a $12.00 commercial out-performed their masterpiece. Of course we can all debate what outperfom means. But to what purpose? I guarantee I’m glad I didn’t have to take such a call. Particularly from an auto client bleeding red ink.
